The DAV Sanskriti School (DAVSS) is here to introduce ethics/morality, Vedic values, culture and Hindi to students. It is up to the parents to follow through with this learning at home and encourage children to apply these lessons in their daily lives.
- Parent/s of children attending the DAVSS are required to be present on the premises, attend Satsang in the Main Hall, teach or volunteer, while the children are doing Havan and attending the School. Safety and security of the students is the responsibility of the parents so parents must not leave the school campus during school hours. Parents should park their cars and escort students inside the school for badging in.
- Parents are responsible for dropping the children to the school by 9:40 am. The drop off point is the front door of DAVSS. Doors close at 9:40 am and remain shut until the morning assembly ends around 10:00 am.
- The school internal security team will receive the children, have them scan their badges and direct them to the assembly line.
- Parents must be at the doors again by 12:05 pm to receive their children after dismissal. If late, the security of the children is not the school’s responsibility.
- Only teachers and volunteers with badges have permission to enter the school. Parents of the classes performing Havan on particular days will be allowed to enter the school premises.
- Parents are required to take permission from the school Director (by email or text) in advance if they wish to enter the school. In that case, they should report directly to the school Director. Visitors must sign the visitor's logbook. The school will provide visitors badges and parents must wear them attending Havan or for any other purpose in the school.
- Maintain silence and discipline in the school. Please help us maintain this rule for the smooth functioning of the school.
- You are requested to communicate with teachers via email, text or write in the children’s notebook.
- If carrying instruments, please write the child’s name and grade on top of the instrument cover in bold clear letters. Leave the instrument outside the front door of DAVSS. They will not be allowed to attend class without the bag. If they lose the bag, they will have to pay $20 for each replacement bag. Please insist that your children take home all their belongings. DAV Sanskriti School is not responsible for lost items.
- Please note that material for all electives needs to be purchased by parents separately. This is not covered in the DAVSS school fee. Please contact the respective teachers for details.
- Internal security team will collect and bring the instrument inside after the assembly.
- Please collect all instruments after school on time. After school is over, all left instruments will be placed outside the school door. The school is not responsible for the safety and security of such instruments.
- Parents cannot remove their children from school premises while in session or enter a classroom without the school Director's and teacher's knowledge. Prior approval from the Director and teachers of the respective class is mandatory.
- Please use the doorbell at the front door for any assistance needed from the school.
- Entry from the DAV MONTESSORI school doors is strictly prohibited. All parents, including Montessori parents, must use the DAV SANSKRITI school door which is adjacent to the car park/basketball ground!
- Children are highly encouraged to wear Indian clothes to the School. Salwar Kameez for girls and Kurta Pajama for boys are recommended. They can wear school t-shirts with legwear below knee length.
- Please mark your calendars for special dates. Parents are required to attend all PTA meetings.
- Parents are strictly not allowed in the classes Thank you!
