1. Background:
- Arya Samaj Greater Houston (ASGH) is the pioneer of DAV Sanskriti School (DAVSS) in North America with 30+ years expertise in running Sanskriti School plus 2 years online
2. Objectives
- Connect children to the Universal Living Values of Sanatan Dharma, and mentor them to grow as proud ambassadors of Sanatan (Vedic-Hindu) Dharma, VSS Global would also be a nursery for future quality Vedic scholars, social workers, volunteers, and leaders of Arya Samaj
- Connect parents of students of VSS Global to the Universal Living Values of Sanatan (Vedic) Dharma, its root scriptures – Vedas, and the Arya Samaj.
3. A single platform to foster common understanding
- One-and-only online program would generate synergy (drive, motivation…) among the various stakeholders with optimum efficient and effective use of resources.
- Appeal to each Arya Samaj, Satang & Havan group, well-wishers to motivate parents and target to enroll 3-4 students from each major city or state in US and Canada, mostly where there is no such school and/or no facilities for running in-person classes.
- 3 students per state forms an initial group of 150 students would yield the critical numbers with an average per grade class of some 12 students that would motivate students & teachers/volunteers to do their best.
4. Program Schedule
2 hours weekly on Saturdays, starting on August 17. 2024- Noon to 2.00 pm (Eastern Time)
- 11.00 am to 1.00 pm (Central Time)
- 10.00 am to noon (Mountain Time)
- 9.00 am to 11.00 am (Pacific Time)
5. VSS Global is a unique platform
- Where the science, logic and spirituality in Sanatan Dharma & the Vedas, form a perfect blend for the ‘Shareerik, Aatmik and Samajik’ uplift of all.
- As a knowledge-based & knowledge-driven institution, with a dedicated pool of teachers, volunteers, existing curriculum.
- With all required logistics - books, technological support, dedicated zoom connections
- Learning is in a playful environment.
- Well-wishers and parents of the new students need to join hands as volunteers in this venture to ensure long term sustainability of program.
